
Jennifer was always hoping to be a multitasking star. In her youth she indulged in a wide range of genres of music, but she particularly enjoyed Afro-Caribbean music like salsa, merengue and bachata. She also enjoyed mainstream music like pop hip-hop, R&B. Music was her passion, but she was also fascinated by the motion picture industry. West Side Story, a musical composed by Rita Moreno (1961), was her most significant source of inspiration. At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Jennifer is also an entertainer , as well as a Catholic schoolgirl, attended for eight years of Holy Family Catholic Primary School located in The Bronx. After a 4 year period, she graduated from Preston High School, an all-girls prep school. Jennifer, a talented athlete who competed in track and fields and tennis at school , was also an impressive pupil. Jennifer spent the majority of her time upbringing in a two-story house within the Castle Hill neighborhood. After turning 18, Jennifer moved out of her parents' home. Lopez worked as a lawyer in the period and also took night dancing classes.
